13 THE FIGHT

Oil on canvas. 57 X 68 cm. Inv. No 2974 The picture was attributed to Mathieu Lenain by P. Weiner, an opinion shared by S. Ernst and V. La-zarev. Ch. Sterling believed it to be the work of an unknown painter, the author of The Procession with a Ram. This attribution was confirmed by J. Thuil-lier in the catalogue of the exhibition "Les freres Le Nam", 1978, Paris. Another variant of the picture (72 X 92 cm) was in 1938 in the Weissmann Collection, Paris.
