The pastel of The Pushkin Museum was bought by Ivan Morozov in 1903 for 1,500 francs at the Salon de la Societe Nationale des Beaux-Arts in Paris (No 350). Legrand made an engraving from this picture (in reverse) in the etching and dry-point technique. Provenance: 1903—18 The I.
