No 3466 Signed lower right: Maurice Utrillo V This painting was bought through the State Purchasing Commission at the exhibition of Modern Western Art in Moscow in 1928. Utrillo painted the Rue du Mont-Cenis in Montmartre many times. There are landscapes on this theme in a private collection in Bern (La Rue du Mont-Cenis, 1911) and in private collections in Zurich (for example, La Rue du Mont-Cenis, 1913, in the Pollag Collection).
